BROSPEAK ® is a ten week, small group program for Aboriginal boys attending secondary school. The Program is run by the school and is designed to help the boys be strong in their Aboriginal identity and smart in their approach to achieving their life goals.
BROSPEAK® is designed to be a flexible program that each school can adapt and re-arrange to suit their particular context.
BROSPEAK® is a program developed by Leigh Ridgeway from the NSW Department of Education and Communities in Newcastle.
BroSpeak will be running this term Wednesday at recess time. It will take place in the Yarning Circle or Aboriginal Student Resource Room in wet weather. This term Trent Lake will be coming on board as our Aboriginal mentor. Mr Howard, Mr Nieass, Mr Williams, Mr Herder and Mr Connors will be our BroSpeak teachers. They are looking forward to working on the Bush Tucker Garden and tackling new projects that the boys want to achieve.
