This course is an interesting look at the law, how it is made and reformed, how it works and where it doesn't work. The Preliminary Course gives you an overview and the foundations for the HSC year, where you will study Crime, Family Law, Human Rights and International Law. |

Students will need to be able to express themselves in writing to demonstrate both Legal ideas and knowledge. Assessment is made up of research tasks, essay writing, extended responses, formal exams and media files. |

This course is very useful for students wishing to follow careers as Lawyers, Paralegals, members of the Police and those looking at careers in Business Management. Legal Studies is also a course providing a broad general knowledge and overlaps with content from several other senior courses (such as CAFS and Business Studies). |
