Students at TEC have been researching, designing and painting some of the NRL Roosters players’ boots over the last couple of months as part of the Boots for a Brighter Future Program. They created their own cultural designs based on the players and their own stories and connections.
The Boots for Brighter Futures is a program designed for young Indigenous people to help connect them to their culture through art and learning and to establish strong mental health and lifestyle habits.
A number of Sydney Roosters players will wear the specially designed boots in the NRL’s Indigenous Round this month.
