In Years 11 and 12, students must complete the School-Based Assessment program, as well as the requirements of NESA and the Department of Education in order to successfully complete the HSC.
Students will be asked to do:
Classwork
Homework
Assignments
Projects or Major Works
Assessment Tasks
Students should endeavour to do their best in every assessment task.
Students will be given an Assessment Schedule and Policy Handbook that outlines all of the tasks that must be completed. The Assessment Handbook can be found on this website under the Assessment tab and then select the year of study.
Teachers will explain the system to the students and will give at least 14 calendar day's written notice of the details of an assessment task.
Deadlines are serious and students should use a planner to note their task due dates down.
Students must make a genuine attempt at all assessment tasks.
Some courses have Major Works or Major Projects which must be completed for the HSC - these include Visual Arts, Industrial Technology, Society and Culture, Music, Dance, Drama, Textiles and Design etc. (Refer to the Course Selection book for details of your courses).
The Entrance Campus is fully equipped with staff ready to support students in becoming successful in completing their HSC.
