Externally Delivered VET Course (EVET)

 

Students who wish to be considered for an EVET course need to complete the EVET Expression of Interest Form and submit this to your Campus Careers Advisor when you submit your courses online.

Information for EVET Courses

Please consider carefully - Why you want to study the course?

An EVET course:

  • May require study outside school hours or over 1 full school day.
  • There are limited course options at  - Gosford, Ourimbah and Wyong campuses. Courses can run in the afternoon or over a full school day.
  • Class delivery can be face to face or online.
  • May involve compulsory Work Placement
  • Requires consistent attendance every week – regardless of work/sport commitments
  • Student is responsible for transport to and from the TAFE Campus.
  • A public bus runs from outside the school every Tuesday to Gosford, Wyong and Ourimbah Campuses – student concession fare applies.
  • Student must commit to completing the course.

2. Pattern of study - How many units will your HSC EVET course count for?

3. Apply for a USI: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi

4. Complete EVET Expression of Interest Form - the EOI form if you would like to express an interest in studying a TAFE course (the ERN # will be completed by the school).

Completion of an EOI does not guarantee a place in a course . Further discussion is required. TAFE makes the final selection.

Students will be informed about the outcome of their application by late November by your Campus Careers Advisor (BVC or TUC) or Mrs Giles (Careers Advisor, The Entrance Campus).

All students who receive a course offer must confirm their acceptance with The Entrance Campus Careers Adviser.

Application to undertake a TAFE NSW Schools Launchpad course is via an interview with The Entrance Campus Principal once the TVET TEC Expression of Interest Form has been completed and submitted.
