Pathways to Success in the HSC

This page contains information about enrolling in Year 11 for students and their parents and carers.

Please watch our video about "Pathways to Success in the HSC" and how to create your own future at The Entrance Campus. The video will give you a great idea of what we offer and how we can get you on the "Pathway to Success". 

 

As part of the Year 10 to 11 transition process, the following major events are scheduled for 2018/2019 at The Entrance Campus.

Transition Web site 

The Transition website provides students with access to the course selection information and processes.  This is site is new for 2018 and under development.  The site can be found here: http://tlsc.online/

  

Course Selection Booklet

The 2018 Course Book contains just about all of the information that you need to make the right decision about pathways and courses. If you want more information about a specific course, either come along to the Course Expo or go to the NESA website and look up "HSC Syllabuses".

NESA rules and TLSC advice

 
Please read the following attached document that was collaboratively developed across the college to ensure students are receiving consistent advice to support them in choosing their courses for Year 11.

The Entrance Campus operates this program to assist students to make decisions to help create their own future.

 

With the best selection of courses available on the Central Coast - including all NESA courses, Vocational courses and some TAFE courses - we have a number of "pathways" that students can take.

DECISION TIME!

As a part of the Decision Time process, students at Berkeley Vale and Tumbi Umbi Campuses will have presentations by the Principal and Deputies from The Entrance Campus in Week 7 & 8 of Term 2.

Students coming to us from Other Schools 

If you are a student coming to us from another school please ask for our Information Pack by contacting the Campus Enrolments Officer on 43 322 944.

 

COURSE EXPO 

The big event on our calendar is the COURSE EXPO Week 2 of Term 3.

Held in the Hall, students and parents are able to talk directly to teachers and students about specific courses to help make decisions about which courses are right for the students career pathway.

 

Following this, in Term 3 Week 4 is our Interviews Day where we will be interviewing ALL students wishing to enrol into Year 11 in the following year. You will need to book a time for this and must bring your Mid Course report.

 

There will be further information events once we have determined our timetables and staffing. All students enrolling in Year 11 will be contacted about the dates.
