NSW Education Parent App

We have pleasure in introducing you to the NSW Education Parent app. 

The app is a companion to your SWS school website. It shows the news, events and school information you publish to your school website. For parents it provides:

• The ability to add more than one school
• The latest news from all of their children’s schools in one place.
• Personalised school feeds to display information for selected year levels.
• Details of school events and the ability to add them to a calendar, and
• Links to contact schools directly from their mobile.

How it works

The app integrates with the SWS authoring process to allow you to easily post your school news and events to both your website and the app.

To publish news to the app, create a news article on your website using the "Website and app" selection.

To publish calendar events to your website,  there are two options:

1.  Publish individual events on your website using the Website and app" selection.
   
   
2. Use the import events function. You can use this if you have events already in another system that can export to iCal files. This lets you bring in many events at one time, make edits if needed and publish in bulk. Please note that if you have already imported your school events for the year onto your website, these will not automatically publish to the app. If this is the case, please contact us and we will assist with a bulk update.
